Reed Accountancy & Finance are working with a reputable business within the FMCG industry based in Co Antrim and are recruiting for a Part-time Credit Controller (2-3 days week per week) to join their well-established finance team on a 9-month maternity contract basis.
The overall purpose of the position is to oversee the credit control function; to develop and maintain a structured credit control and debt recovery plan, ensuring debtor days and kept within strict agreed timelines.
More specific duties will involve:
To ensure that cash collection and debt reduction targets are met
To assist in the company KPI of no Bad Debt
Ensure queries are dealt with promptly and liaise with managers to resolve issues
To develop and manage proactive systems of communication with the with the customers of the Group
Recognise and escalate credit control issues with the Finance Manager as required and discuss credit issues with the appropriate Operations Manager
To ensure that stop status of accounts is maintained and communicated in line with agreed procedures
Prepare and present detailed weekly and monthly reports
To update and maintain the credit control function on the Group’s computerised system
Assist in the month end procedures
To be GDPR compliant
Candidates will have previous credit control experience (ideally 2+ years) gained in a commercial fast-paced environment and will be fully responsible for credit control policies and procedures.
Candidates will have a working knowledge of MS Excel
Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will deal effectively with customer issues and problems
