One of the largest local authority based in London are looking for a Energy Conservation Officer on a 3 to 6 months contract with possibilities of further extension if all goes well. It is a full-time role Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week.
Purpose of the role:
The council's Energy Services Team leads on high profile projects, drives the council's net zero carbon ambition, and delivers several services to other parts of the council.
Their Energy Conservation Officers have a range of duties, with the main responsibilities including:
- Visiting council buildings, housing estates with communal heating systems and schools to carry out monitoring and targeting audits, producing reports for premises manages on the energy use of their sites and recommendations to reduce consumption
- Providing written and verbal advice on energy-related matters to premises managers and other council departments
- Analysing energy-related datasets, including weather corrections
- Supporting and delivering energy efficiency projects across a range of building types
