We are currently recruiting for a large financial services organisation a number of Financial Investigators to be based in Canary Wharf (Working from home at the moment). Starting salary £28,900 plus excellent benefits

The Investigation team is looking for new talent to join the business in this period of rapid growth.   We are seeking experienced complaints handlers to listen carefully to both sides, asking the right questions and using your sound judgement to assist in the resolution in our customer complaints. 

Who we are

We were set up by Parliament to sort out complaints between financial businesses and their customers. We can help with most financial services – including banking, insurance, PPI, loans, mortgages, pensions and investments. If something’s gone wrong, we have the power to put it right.

We offer the flexibility to work either full time or part time basis - we’d ask that you can commit to full time hours for the first four weeks – and offer outstanding training – the initial period is 6 months.

As an investigator, you’ll help sort out financial services problems for the people who come to our service for help. Working as part of a small team supported by an ombudsman manager, you’ll be accountable for investigating things thoroughly and getting to the bottom of our customers’ complaints.

Our investigators come from diverse career paths and all walks of life – but whatever your background you’ll spend 6 months in our academy developing the skills that’ll help you to find answers to problems that are fair and feel fair to the people that come to us for help.

Building on your existing experience, you’ll learn to listen carefully to both sides, ask the right questions and use sound judgment – as well as drawing on the expertise and knowledge of those around you.

You’ll need to build trust, manage expectations and explain what you think, and why – both in writing and over the phone. You’ll thrive in an environment where no two days are the same – and you’ll be motivated by doing the right thing.
