One of the largest local authority based in London are looking for a Homeless Case Officer on a 3 months contract with possibilities of further extension if all goes well. It is a full time role Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week.
Purpose of the role:
To ensure an effective homelessness service is provided by the Council, including prompt response to solicitors’ request,
Knowledge of the relevant legislation relating to homelessness and housing need, with particular reference to the Housing Act 1996, Amended 2002.
Working experience in the assessment of more complex homeless applications for persons who present themselves to the Council making recommendations and decisions under the relevant housing legislation.
knowledge of Northgate (iworld) system. and Information@work system would be a great advantage.
