We are currently looking for a Vetting Advisor and you will need to be available immediately.

As Vetting Advisor, you will be required to support the end to end Recruitment Process, by providing a first class administrative service in the completion of pre-employment checks, ensuring all candidates are vetting in line with company policy and regulatory requirements. In addition, you will support managers within the company with guidance, advice and training related to the process.

Duties Include:

Reviewing recruitment packs from managers within agreed time frames to ensure all documentation is included and in line with the vetting policy and procedure
Returning incomplete packs with relevant managers and advising on missing documentation and steps required
Carrying out required 5 year background checks for all candidates in line with policy and regulatory guidelines
Submitting DBS applications for all candidates within agreed time frames
Supporting candidates with international checks if required
Exploring returned references, managing with completion for Vetting Risk Assessments if required
Use alternative methods to obtain satisfactory 5 year checks if the referee does not comply
Plan and prioritise flexibly in order to meet the changing needs of the business and the team
Utilise appropriate HR spreadsheets to ensure accurate recording of data
Where reasonably required, train other team members and new joiners to the team.
Propose, plan and implement process improvements
Advise employees and managers with regards to standard policy related questions
This role would suit someone who has been a Recruitment Advisor / Administrator before or someone who ha worked in HR as an HR administrator.
