Financial Planning Administrator
£20 - 25,000 basic salary plus benefits and professional exam support

Based in Weston, this is a full-time role supporting the Partner/Wealth Manager and Paraplanner both in terms of new business and offering a high level of ongoing service.

Main Duties
Support Wealth Manager to meet business targets.
Act as day-to-day point of contact for client service to resolve administrative issues.
Manage Wealth Manager’s diaries by booking meetings.
Help Wealth Manager prepare for meetings.
Assist Paraplanner(s) to conduct product and investment research.
Assist Paraplanner(s) to write suitability letters to confirm advice.
Help ensure files are compliant and complete.
Process new business and track to completion.
Write letters to clients and providers as appropriate.
Provide a high level of service to clients, including regular valuations.
Perform general office administration tasks, such as handling post and emails.
Maintain and update back office systems, including provider platforms.
Help organise events and seminars.
Perform other ad-hoc tasks in the office as required.

The Candidate Core Skills
The candidate must be a self-starter, able to organise themselves without close supervision, but able to work as part of a team.
The candidate should have a high level of organisational ability, combined with a keen eye for detail, able to prioritise tasks and handle large amounts of paperwork efficiently.
The candidate must also have a strong preference for action and an ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines on occasion.

Skills required
Previous experience working in a busy IFA practice.
A good working knowledge of Intelligent Office (IO).
Financial Planning Certificate (FP1), CF1 or equivalent.
CII Award in Financial Administration or equivalent.

Work Skills & Experience
Experience working in financial services administration for an IFA practice
Experience working for a product provider, either in investments insurance or banking
Good working knowledge of pensions and/or pension administration.
Knowledge of FCA compliance procedures.
Research and analysis skills re: financial advice.
Compilation of suitability letters and other client/product provider correspondence.
Project management.
Investment research
Experience working in a paperless office.

9.00am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch 25 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday leave Contributory Company Pension Scheme. Access to Westfield Health and Rewards Scheme. Opportunity to purchase an additional 5 days annual leave. Death in Service Scheme.
