A vital position has become available for an experienced Information and Quality Assurance Consultant to join Rochdale Council to support the Information Governance Unit. This role is available immediately on an initial 5-month temporary contract.
What is the role?
Rochdale Council are now looking to appoint an experienced Information and Quality Assurance Consultant to provide advice and support to all Council stakeholders, including schools, across the borough.
In this role you will lead in a specified discipline dependent upon your qualifications and previous experience.
You can expect to become involved in the management of information requests and the provision of thematic advice to stakeholders.
How will you do this?
- Work independently and utilise your expert knowledge of information rights law gained through formal qualifications or experience in the field.
- Provide guidance in relation to information rights legislation, including data protection, GDPR, Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations.
- Develop corporate policies, plans, systems, and procedures to ensure best practice and reduction of risk.
- Assist in providing guidance, training, assessments, and investigations to support the information rights compliance culture across the Council.
