My client are a leading provider of diagnostics who are currently leading the fight against COVID, they have developed a PCR based diagnostic kit and are low looking for laboratory supervisors and scientists to help grow the capability to manufacture and test.
The role itself is shift based and will work on a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern and will alternate between nights and days. The shift supervisor will be responsible for reporting and ensuring the smooth running of the laboratory, looking after a small team of scientists and MLA's and ultimately delivering everything that is needed from a COVID-19 testing laboratory.
To be considered for this role you will need to be degree education in Biomedical Science, or a closely related discipline (molecular or micro biology would be good also), you will ideally be HCPC registered (although this isn't essential) and you will have working experience within a biomedical/microbiology/molecular biology laboratory, 6 months minimum experience. Any experience of people management would be beneficial.
My client would prefer people to be local to the East Midlands area and be available at short notice however if these aren't sticking points if you can relocate quickly.
They can offer a competitive salary (up to £28,000/annum) depending on your experience level.
