Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £18,000 to £19,000

Are you looking for a job where you can really make a difference?

We are seeking dedicated and caring Waking Night Support workers for our residential and supported living services, supporting children with learning disabilities and associated health needs.
The children we support are at the heart of everything we do - they are wonderful individuals and deserve to be treated with respect, dignity, and choice. Our main priority, therefore, is to find support workers with values, behaviours, and attitudes to match our own.

Could this be you?

Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and many of the people we support require support during the night.
You will be expected to ensure people are supported to gain a good night's sleep, monitoring any concerns in relation to disturbed sleep patterns and follow relevant support plans designed to promote sleep and wellbeing.
You will focus on ensuring the environment at night is safe and contributes to ensuring people are comfortable at night.
Your shifts will be allocated on a rota basis and will include weekends and bank holidays as required. 162.5 hours per month (flexible working - to include weekends)

Person Specification:

• We believe that a successful support worker does not always have experience but shares our vision to ensure that 'every moment has potential' for the people we support to learn new skills and to achieve their goals.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as good English are a must.
• An NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and some experience in care work would be an added bonus, but we have a fantastic in-house training team who can help you along if you are taking your first steps in your career as a support worker.
• Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to ensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfilling, and safe places to live.
• We are a leading provider of care and support for children with learning disabilities and associated complex needs, including autistic spectrum conditions, mental health needs, challenging behaviour, profound and multiple learning disabilities, and epilepsy.

The children we support live in homely, family-like residences, and are encouraged to participate fully in the internal community.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the people we support, adults and children, and expect all staff to share this commitment.

In addition to your salary, our benefits package includes:
• a pension scheme
• paid annual leave
• reward/recognition schemes
• a generous staff discount and benefits scheme
• excellent opportunities for career progression
