This highly commercial employer are recruiting for what is initially scheduled to be a 12 month project implementing an end-to-end payroll and pension system.
This would be an ideal next step for anyone who is looking for a progressive payroll position as a Key Worker in the one of Northern Ireland’s most well-regarded companies. The ideal applicant will be a multifaceted and highly organised professional, who can demonstrate initiative and leadership to meet deadlines.
Within the role you will have a balanced mixture of WFH as well as office based work to coordinate the project implementation. The employer are also able to provide relatively flexible start and finish times for the successful applicant.
The office has taken the necessary steps to comply with COVID-19 safety regulations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all site-based staff members.
Suitable applicants MUST have a minimum of 5 years’ in end-to-end payroll processing experience.
- Project management to implement weekly and monthly payrolls, liaising with payroll bureaux as required;
- Management and running of payrolls, including liaison with HMRC and other external parties;
- Administration of Pension Schemes for approximately 200 members of staff, liaising with members, Trustees, external advisers and administrators;
- Administration of WebExpenses system and processing of employee expenses;
- Efficient and accurate maintenance of accounting records and internal controls; and
- Assistance with implementation of new integrated HR and Payroll system.
Training on the necessary integrated systems that are being implemented will be provided. It is, however, essential that applicants are able to demonstrate an aptitude in learning and processing information on new payroll software.
All applications will be reviewed on their own merit. The successful candidate will be CIPP qualified, ideally, or qualified by experience.
It is essential that applicants have 5 years of end-to-end payroll experience and a sound foundational knowledge of the administration of company pension schemes. Suitable candidates will also have an up-to-date knowledge of payroll and pensions legislation within the UK.
To successfully carry out this project, applicants will have strong IT literacy skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel. Previous experience working with computerised payroll software will be absolutely essential.
Naturally, you will also be highly adept at managing deadlines, working under pressure to meet goals and key project objectives.
