Project Accountant / Controller, Camberley, £30-40,000 + Benefits
Reporting to the Finance Director of this successful niche manufacturer, the Project Controller’s primary role will be split across all the stages of the project management process and will be to work closely with Project Managers to ensure that all budgeting and financial scheduling runs smoothly.
You will monitor the progress of a project to ensure that it is working within the confines of set budget limitations and generate financial progress reports accordingly which will address all aspects of project development and completion, ensuring that projects are correctly set up on systems, monitoring actual project costs vs budget, monitoring invoicing and credit control.
Ideally you will have worked in a manufacturing environment and will be confident performing margin analysis and making recommendations and margin improvement proposals, performing cost analysis and benchmarking and preparing cost reduction proposals.
To succeed in this varied, challenging and high profile commercial finance role, you will need to display strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and communication skills and be able to identify and address problems as well as justify your opinions and decisions to the Project Managers. You will be detail orientated, able to consistently meet deadlines and be confident working on your own initiative.
As long as the analytical project related experience is there, and ideally the manufacturing industry background, this role could suit anything from a part qualified level analyst to someone more qualified by their previous work experience.
