Location: Somerset (home working and office) -Bristol also possible
Working Hours: 08:30 to 17:30

An innovative, technology based, consultancy company is recruiting for a brand new Project Manager on a permanent full-time basis.

This is a perfect opportunity for the right candidate to join the company and build a rewarding career with a successful employer. You will work into a sub team of 3, working on a portfolio of projects and reporting into one of the Directors.

Role Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the role is to:
• Support the continued success of the Company by playing the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing key internal projects (including a variety of projects such as commercial, procurement, marketing, IT & Digital)

The role will include tasks such as the below:
• Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored
• Designing and applying appropriate project management standards
• Identify resources and assign responsibilities
• Working collaboratively to define and document questions, liaise with wider business to identify requirements and explain feasibility
• Reporting through agreed lines on project progress through highlight reports and end-stage assessments
• Managing day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s)
• Working closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s)
• Managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans
• Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
• Maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact
• Identifying and obtaining support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project
• Applying change control processes, as required
• Managing project administration
• Preparing any follow-on action recommendations

• Essential
o Competent in required project methodology
o Experience at managing projects
o Strong organisational skills

• Desirable
o Understands basic financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing a budget; scheduling resource & expenditures; analysing variances and initiating corrective actions. Ideally PRINCE2 qualified.
