Sports Coach | Teaching Assistant | Peterborough, Norfolk and Cambridge
We are experiencing an increasing demand for Teaching Assistants from a PE background, to work with pupils with challenging behaviour and special needs in primary schools, using sport as a tool for engagement. On a day-to-day and long-term basis, sports under-graduates as well as graduates are in high demand.
There is the opportunity to work as a 1:1 teaching assistant if you are a sports graduate or an experienced sports coach and enjoy working with children with challenging behaviour. 1:1 teaching assistant positions are usually full-time and longer-term and involve building strong relationships with a single pupil with an EHCP in place. This role could also be a Sole Sports coach role, in charge of planning and running PE Sessions for full classes.

Cover day to day bookings and long term positions when regular PE Teachers and teaching assistants are absent due to illness or courses.
Supervise and run activities in PE lessons in alternative provisions and secondary schools.
To cover for general classroom lessons when required.
1:1 teaching assistant for pupil with behavioural issues.
The ability to engage all children involved in your lesson.

Relevant, well-paid experience for under-graduates from GBP10 per hour.
